FACTS

:

This matter is called for hearing today dated 28.2.2011. Appellant
present. The Department is represented by Shri Ganga Ram, Complaint
Inspector, Faizabad. The parties are heard.

2. The matter, in short, is that the appellant had sent a complaint against Shri
Girish Kumar Tiwari, the then Sub-Postmaster, Bikapur, Dist Faizabad, through
registered letter. As he did not hear from the Department, vide RTI application
he had sought information on a number of paras but the main information sought
by the appellant was as to action taken on his complaint.

3. During the hearing, Shri Ganga Ram submits that the original complaint
does not appear to have been received in the office of SSPOs, Faizabad but
subsequently a copy of the said complaint was sent to SSPOs, Faizabad, by the
appellant whereupon an inquiry was conducted into the matter and Shri Girish
Kumar Tiwari was transferred from BIkapur to Chaure Bazar.

4. The appellant, however, is not satisfied with the response of Shri Ganga
Ram. It is his say that disappearance of his registered letter from SSPO’s officer
is mysterious and he suspects deliberate obliteration of the record. In the
premises, the following order is passed :-

(i) A copy of the inquiry report may be sent to the appellant forthwith, free of
cost.

(ii) Inspector Ganga Ram would cause an inquiry into the disappearance of
the appellant’s letter and send a copy of the inquiry report to the
appellant, free of cost in 06 weeks time.
