Facts
arising from the Complaint:
Mr. Shivji Soni had filed a RTI application with the PIO, Administrative Branch
1, Office of District & Sessions Judge, Tis Hazari Court on 22/08/2008 asking for certain
information. Since no reply was received within the mandated time of 30 days, he had
filed a complaint under Section 18 to the Commission.
The Commission issued a notice to the PIO on 13/02/2009 asking him to supply
the information by 07/03/2009 and sought an explanation for not furnishing the
information within the mandated time. The PIO has informed the Commission that the
information has been sent to the complainant on 28/02/2009 as per direction of the FAA
and proof of same has been provided.
Decision:
Complaint is allowed
The Commission directs the PIO, if the information is too voluminous then
facilitates the inspection of all files relating to the relevant information sought by the
appellant.
Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
