Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.26.2.08 with the CPIO, WR, Mumbai.
He requested for information against 43 points related to the typist cadre .
The PIO replied on 2.4.08 furnishing point wise information. Not satisfied
with the reply, the Applicant filed an appeal dt.11.4.08 with the Appellate
Authority against points 3 to 7, 10 to 12, 19, 21 to 23, 26 to 43. The
Appellate Authority replied on 23.5.08 providing additional clarification.
Aggrieved with the reply, the Applicant filed a second appeal dt.6.10.08
before CIC stating that the information received is not correct and is
incomplete.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing for June 22, 2009.
3. Mr. B. Ramachandran, DPO cum PIO and Mr. S.S. Shivdikav, OS-II
represented the Public Authority.
4. The Applicant was not present during the hearing.
Decision
5. The Respondent submitted a brief summary of the case dated 18.6.09 in
which he stated that the grievances regarding cadre restructuring/promotion
etc. documents/information have already been provided to the Appellant. He
also informed the Commission that several files in connection with the subject
given herein above were inspected by the Appellant in the presence of
ADRM(T) on 5.1.09 and the Appellant was provided with certified copies of
information he required. Further, the Respondent also shared with the
Commission an earlier decision No.CIC/SG/A/000866/3595 dated 5.6.09
given on an appeal raising the same issues, which was dismissed by the
Commission. The Commission in this case reviewed the information provided
and noted that all the information has been furnished to the Appellant and
accordingly disposes off the appeal.
