Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.7.8.08 with the CPIO, BSNL, Meerut.
He requested for information against 2 points regarding one Mr. Rajiv Saxena
posted at BSNL UP (W) Zone, Meerut. The CPIO replied on 4.2.08. Not
satisfied with the reply, the Applicant filed an appeal dt.26.9.08 (Copy not in
file) with the Appellate Authority. The Appellate Authority replied on
18.11.08 providing some information . Still not satisfied, the Applicant filed a
second appeal No.5296 dt.26.12.08 before the CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing for March 20, 2009.
3. Mr. Dev Dutt Singh, A.D. represented the Public Authority.
4. The Applicant was present during the hearing.
Decision
5. The Appellant submitted that he did not receive reply to Points.2 of his RTI
request in which he has requested for the amount of transport allowance paid
to Mr. Rajiv Saxena. The Commission holds that this information is in the
office files and is already in the public domain and accordingly directs the
CPIO to provide the information within 15 days of receipt of this Order.
6. The appeal is disposed off.
