Background
1. The Appellant filed an RTI request dt.12.11.07 with the CPIO, BSNL, Kanpur.
He requested for information related to his telephone connection and his
incoming and outgoing calls. The CPIO replied on 8.2.08 providing information
against all the points for which information was sought. Not satisfied with the
information, the Appellant filed an appeal dt.28.5.08 with the Appellate
Authority stating that incomplete and wrong information has been provided
by the AGM(Admn.), BSNL, Kanpur. He stated that there was no reference in
the letter dt. 8.2.08 regarding his request to start the outgoing facility on his
phone. Also in the letter it has not been mentioned as to how and why the
outgoing facility was started without his request. The Appellant commented
on the missing information against all the points. The Appellate Authority
replied on 21.8.08 providing further information on the points raised by the
Appellant. Still not satisfied, thr Appellant filed a second appeal dt.21.11.08
before CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing for February 13, 2009.
3. Mr. Brijendra Kumar Singh, DGM(Admn.) represented the Public Authority.
4. The Appellant was not present during the hearing.
Decision
5. The Commission reviewed the information provided by the Appellate Authority
vide his letter dated 21.8.08 and holds that all available information has been
provided and accordingly disposes off the appeal.
