Background
1. The RTI request was filed before CCRUM on 31.10.08. The Appellant
requested for information against 9 points dealing with
grants/advances/loans etc. to Govt. employees. The PIO replied on
23.2.08 enclosing requisite information with regard to 2 RTI
applications, one regarding grant of Honorarium paid to officers at
Headquarters and the other grant of advances to the staff of the
council, submitted by the Council on 31.1.08. The PIO of CCRUM also
wrote to the Appellant on 20.3.08 informing her that as intimatedto
her verbally over the telephone, a reply was sent to her mailing
address on 23.2.08. He enclosed copies of the reply. The Appellant
filed a petition before the CIC on 7.4.08 stating that the letter dated
23.2.08 has never reached her.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner,
scheduled the hearing on December 24, 2008
3. Mr.Suhail Mustafa Adhami, Research Officer cum PIO represented the
Public Authority.
4. The Appellant Ms.Hem Lata was not present during the hearing.
Decision
5. The Respondents submitted a letter to the Commission dt.16.12.08
stating that the matter has been mutually settled and that the
Appellant has withdrawn the case. The Respondent also produced a
copy of the letter written by the Appellant stating that the case be
settled as ‘Decided’.
6. Since the Appellant is satisfied with the information provided, the
appeal is disposed off.
