ORDER

1.Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per clause 15(2) of the Certified Standing Orders a working journalist is entitled to be represented in disciplinary proceedings by an official of a trade union of working journalists of which he is a member. He further submits that Mr. B.K. Paul, though a practicing lawyer, is an official of the trade union of working journalists of which the petitioner is a member. He further submits that in the Certified Standing Orders there is no specific bar against the working journalists being represented by a practicing lawyer.
2. Issue notice to the respondents to show cause as to why the writ petition be not admitted, returnable on 30th April, 1998.
3. The petitioner may place on record a copy of the Certified Standing Orders before the next date.

4. Issue notice to the respondents for 30th April, 1998. In the meanwhile, further proceedings in the on going domestic enquiry against the petitioner will stand stayed till the next date.
