	Original Application No.6142 of 1999 was filed before the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal, Madras Bench praying to quash the letter of the respondent in his letter No.40543/Tr.II/98-20 dated 30.4.1999 and consequently direct the respondent to promote the applicant as Regional Transport Officer from the date of promotion of this immediate juniors with all consequential monetary and service benefits.  Since the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal was abolished, the O.A.  was received by transfer and numbered as Writ Petition.
