Title: Need to construct a subway on NH 45-B for movement of people between K.K. Nagar and Crawford area in Tiruchirapalli Parliamentary Constituency, Tamil Nadu.
SHRI P. KUMAR (TIRUCHIRAPPALLI): Mannarpuram and Panjapur in Tiruchirapalli are connected with NH 45-B. K.K. Nagar and Craw Ford area are on both sides of the road having population of more than five lakhs. As there is no subway, residents of both areas are taking circuitous route to reach other side of the road. The vacant land on both sides of the road belongs to the Ministry of Defence. There is a long pending demand from the local residents for construction of subway to give easy access to the people from both sides. They already represented to the concerned officers of Ministry of Defence to handover the small piece of their vacant land to the Municipal Corporation of Tiruchirapalli for construction of subway.
On behalf of the people of my constituency, I request the Union Government to handover the small piece of vacant land to the Municipal Corporation of Tiruchirapalli for construction of a subway.
