Title: Need to ensure remunerative prices to the farmers for procurement of rice and wheat.
SHRI K.H. MUNIYAPPA (KOLAR): Sir, today the farmers are facing problems in regard to procurement of rice and wheat. Drought conditions are being faced by fifteen States in the country. The farmers are not getting remunerative prices for rice and wheat.
Sir, through you, I would like to request the Government, particularly the Ministry to Agriculture, to find a way out to this problem. The FCI and other designated agencies of the Government should purchase rice and wheat from the farmers and they should be given proper price for that.
