The affected areas include the districts namely: Guwahati, Kokrajhar, Dhubri, Sonitpur, Bongaigaon, Naogaon, Nalbari, Kamrup, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia etc. So, I request you to urgently intervene into the matter and take the following steps to rescue the farmers from the natural calamities.

b)                To take appropriate steps to supply water to the farmers;

c)                Free supply of seeds to the farmers;

d)                To modernize water supply irrigation schemes, throughout the state of Assam with adequate financial assistance and better technology;

e)                To activise shallow tube well, Government should supply diesel to the farmers at free of cost;

f)                 Central special package with financial assistance should be given to the farmers to compensate for their damages.

I urge upon the Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture to take the above mentioned measures urgently.
