Title: Need to repair and convert NH-9 between Hyderabad and Vijaywada into four lane.
SHRI SURAVARAM SUDHAKAR REDDY (NALGONDA): This is to draw the attention of the Government and the House on the plight of National Highway No.9, which passes from Hyderabad to Vijayawada. Except in my district, four-laning has been done on the National Highway between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. This is the most important lane. In fact, it should have been made six-laner but not even four-laner has been made. Dozens of accidents are taking place every day. In one year, more than 300 people have died. It is almost one person a day. I would request the Government to immediately sanction the necessary grants to expand it to four lines. Already the survey has been done but in the name of detailed Project Report it is being withheld. I would request that at the earliest the four-laning should be done.
