(PUDUKKOTTAI) : Pudukkottai is an important district in Tamil Nadu. It is an important agricultural and commercial Centre. Thousands of coconut trees are grown here. A huge industrial complex with necessary infrastructure is available in Pudukkotai. Water and electricity are also available.
Pudukkottai is a backward district and people mainly depend upon agriculture. There is a great outflow of population from here to other areas in search of employment.
I, therefore, urge upon the Government to set up small scale industries, agro and coir industries in the Industrial Complex in Pudokottai. This will not only facilitate economic development of the area but also make optimum use of available facilities.
