In the Palakkad Revenue District School Kalolsavam,
petitioner’s team participated in the item ‘ Malayalam Drama”.
They were awarded second prize with A Grade. They filed an
appeal complaining that they did not get adequate time for
making arrangements on the stage. It is also alleged that the
wooden planks in the stage were not in a single level and
that they were exposed to sun’s rays which affected their
performance. Appeal filed was rejected by Ext.P3 order. It is
challenging Ext.P3, the writ petition is filed.
2. Even if it is assumed that there is substance in the
petitioner what is contended, I am inclined to think that
inadequacies pointed out by the petitioner must have been
common to all participants and therefore in my view, no
prejudice special to the petitioner would have been caused
warranting interference of this Court. Therefore, on these
allegations, this Court will not be justified in upsetting the
assessment of the performance as made by the judges.
Writ petition fails and it is accordingly dismissed.
