                           JUDGMENT

Petitioner is the President of a Trust stated to be running

higher education institutions in Kerala and also in Tamil Nadu.

It is contended that the U.G.C. has granted to the petitioner, the

status of a ‘Deemed University’. Petitioner then submitted

Exts.P5 and P6 applications before the U.G.C. for bringing a

College of Dental Science and College of Nursing established in

Neyyattinkara within the ambit of Ext.P4. The first respondent

vide Exts.P7 and P8 letters, sought for the comments of the State

Government In this regard. State Government has not given its

comments so far and the petitioner has approached the State

Government with Ext.P9 representation requesting expeditious

action. This is not responded to and hence the writ petition.

2. I heard learned Counsel for the petitioner Mr. Jobi Jose

Kondody and Mr. S.Krishnamoorthi, learned Counsel for the first

respondent and the Senior Government Pleader appearing for

the Government.
