for appellant Guddu Rai.
Learned counsel has submitted that I.A. 1858 of
2011 has been filed on behalf of the appellant for grant of bail.
The present appeal was running under the heading
for hearing along with other appeals in which the accused
persons have also been convicted. The batch case is running

under the heading ‘for hearing’ but it has come under the
heading ‘to be mentioned’ as the appellant wants disposal of
the interlocutory application.
In view of the fact that the appeals are already
listed for hearing, we are not inclined to allow the prayer for
bail, though appellant Guddu Rai has remained in custody for
7 ½ years. The prayer for bail is rejected.
Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the
appeal may be listed under the heading ‘for hearing’ within
top ten cases on 25.10.2011.
