                      J U D G M E N T

The petitioner was awarded the contract to collect and

remove silt/sand from the check dam, namely, Pandarathu

Mines at Walayar. It is averred in the writ petition that

the petitioner’s bid was accepted and accordingly, Ext.P3

agreement was executed. Because of certain subsequent

developments, he could not complete the work on time. He

filed Ext.P6 representation before the fourth respondent

seeking renewal of the agreement. He has now moved the

Government by Ext.P7 representation requesting to

renew/extend the period provided in Ext.P3 agreement.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted

that the limited prayer of the petitioner is for a

direction to the first respondent to take a decision on

Ext.P7 within a time frame.

3. Heard the learned Government Pleader for the

respondents also.

4. There will be a direction to the Government to

take a decision on Ext.P7 in accordance with law within a

period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy

of this Judgment.

The writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
