PRAYER


Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India
praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to
consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 24.06.2007 for fixation
of seniority on par with that of his junior Senbagaraj with consequential
benefits including promotion on par with that of his junior.

:ORDER

Admit. Mr.D.Gandhiraj, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the
respondent. With consent of the learned counsel on either side the writ petition
itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition to direct the
respondent to consider his representation dated 24.06.2007 for fixation of
seniority on par with that of his junior Senbagaraj with consequential benefits
including promotion on par with that of his junior.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not
so far been disposed of by the respondents.

4. Mr. D.Gandhiraj, learned Government Advocate Counsel fairly submitted
that if twelve (12) weeks time is given the representation of the petitioner
dated 24.06.2007 will be disposed of.

5. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side,
the respondent is hereby directed to consider the petitioner’s representation
dated 24.06.2007 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law
within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the
merits of the case.

6. The writ petition is disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
