                 respondent Nos.4 and 5.

                              . . .

AJAI LAMBA, J (Oral)

This petition has been filed under

Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuing directions to

respondent Nos.1 to 3 to provide security and

protection to the petitioners.

It has been contended that the

petitioners got married, they being of legally

marriageable age. Respondent Nos.4 and 5, however,

have not accepted the marriage and therefore, have

been threatening the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the respondent-State

contends that the statement of the petitioners has
Crl. Misc. No. M-27758 of 2008 [2]

been taken. It has been found that petitioner No.1

is more than 18 years of age. Priyanka has stated

that she got married to Sharif Ahmed and wants to

stay with him.

Without commenting anything in regard to

the legality or otherwise of the marriage, this

petition is disposed of with directions that

respondent Nos.4 and 5 would not cause any harm to

the petitioners. In case the petitioners feel

threatened, they would be at liberty to approach the

Senior Superintendent of Police concerned who shall

have an enquiry conducted and ensure protection of

the petitioners.
