श्री शैलेन्द्र कुमार : माननीय अध्यक्ष जी, मैं आपके माध्यम से सरकार से मांग कररता हूँ कि पंजाब विवाद के चलते यमुना जल-बँटवारे का मामला बहुत गंभीर है। उत्तर प्रदेश को जो पानी मिलना चाहिए, वह नहीं मिल पा रहा है। पिछले पाँच दशकों से जो समझौते हुए, १२ मार्च १९५४ को और १९९४ के समझौते में निश्चित किया गया कि एक तिहाई पानी उत्तर प्रदेश को और दो तिहाई पानी हरियाणा को मिलेगा। उत्तर प्रदेश में सहारनपुर, मुजफ्फरनगर बागपत और गाज़ियाबाद जनपद पर इसका प्रभाव पड़ रहा है। किसान सिंचाई नहीं कर पा रहे हैं। किसान भुखमरी के कगार पर हैं।
अध्यक्ष महोदय, किसान भुखमरी के कगार पर हैं। हरियाणा में बने ताजेवाला बांध पर यमुना नहर निकलती है। हरियाणा उस पानी का पूरा उपयोग करता है और उत्तर प्रदेश को पानी नहीं देता है जबकि उत्तर प्रदेश को ४२८५ क्यूसेक पानी चाहिए, लेकिन उसे केवल ६५ क्यूसिक पानी मिल रहा है। …( व्यवधान)

श्री शैलेन्द्र कुमार : अध्यक्ष महोदय, उत्तर प्रदेशका पानी काट कर उत्तरांचल और दिल्ली जल बोर्ड को पानी दिया जा रहा है। उत्तर प्रदेश, मुजफ्फरनगर, बागपत, हिंडन, कृष्णा दोआना नहर का क्षेत्र सूखा पड़ा हुआ है। जहां ३९२४ लाख रुपए खर्च कर के नहर बनाई गई है। मैं आपके माध्यम से सिंचाई मंत्री जी से मांग करता हूं कि उत्तर प्रदेश को पानी का एकतिहाई हिस्सा ४२८५ क्यूसिक पानी दिलाया जाए ताकि किसान अपनी सिंचाई कर के अपनी स्थिति को सुधार सकें।
