JUDGMENT
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned
Government Pleader.
2. The claim of the petitioner, a Handloom Weavers’ Co-
operative Society, is that it is entitled to payment of amounts for
the rebate sales that it has done. Similar matters were disposed
of as per different judgments including that dated 12/12/2007 in
O.P.NO.4209/00 and connected cases. As noticed therein, rebate
was granted by the petitioners on the basis of Governmental
directions in tune with the policy of the Government providing for
extending rebate facility for Handloom industry. Respondents
cannot therefore delay the disbursement of the rebate amounts
due to the petitioner.
Hence, following the aforesaid judgment, this writ petition is
allowed directing the Director of Handloom and Textiles to take a
final decision on the amounts that are due to the petitioner and

disburse such amounts within an outer limit of five months from
the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
