JUDGMENT
Raman, J.
The petitioner alleges that he was living with the daughter of the
third respondent whom he has married on 19.8.2008 according to the
customary rites. But on 20.8.2008 respondents 3 and 4 forcibly abducted
the petitioner’s wife and she is now under illegal custody. Hence, this writ
petition.
2. Pursuant to the notice issued, the parties appeared. We interacted
with the alleged detenu. She has stated that though she eloped with the
petitioner, later the petitioner himself took her back to her father’s residence.
Now she is residing with her parents. She stated that her parents had
promised to arrange for her marriage and now she is not under the illegal
custody of anybody. She wants to go with her parents. She being a major
and stated that she wants to go with her parents, no further reliefs can be
granted in this writ petition.
The writ petition is closed.
