ORDER
This
application by the convict has been filed through jail for releasing
him on parole as his request has been rejected by the IG Prisons,
Gujarat State, Ahmedabad, vide order dated 22-1-2009 on the ground
that when he was released, he committed serious offences punishable
under Sec.307 of IPC and 9 years sentence was awarded by the learned
Sessions Court. It was also observed that the convict prisoner
attacked PI, Shri K.G.Desai and staff members of Amreli City Police
Station for which also, offence punishable under Sec.307, 332, 352
of IPC was registered against the present convict prisoner. Police
opinion is also adverse.
In
view of the above, the order passed by the IG Prisons is not
required to be interfered with. This application is therefore
rejected.
