                                    JUDGMENT

The petitioner’s son died in an accident involving a bus owned

by the respondent. The petitioner filed O.P(MV) 46/2004 before the

Motor Accidents Cliams Tribunal, Punalur, claiming compensation

for the death of his son. The Tribunal has awarded an amount of

Rs.1,90,000/- as compensation, with interest. The complaint of the

petitioner is that the amount has not been paid till date though an

execution petition has been filed for the realisation of the amount.

Therefore, he seeks appropriate directions to the respondent to

satisfy the award.

2. The standing counsel for the KSRTC submits that the

amount would be paid within a period of three months from today.

3. In view of the said submission, this writ petition is

disposed of directing the respondent to satisfy the award of the

MACT, Punallur in O.P(MV) 46/2004 and to pay the entire amount

due thereunder to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible and

at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt

of a copy of this judgment.
