The petitioner filed CWP No.18454 of 2008 seeking a

direction against the respondents for reimbursement of his medical bills

for a total amount of Rs.2,42,876/- as per details mentioned in para No.5

of the contempt petition. The petitioner further averred that vide judgment

dated 18.3.2009 passed in CWP No.18454 of 2008, this Court had given a

direction to the respondents to release all pending claims of the petitioner

before 31.3.2009.

In the present contempt petition, the petitioner has alleged that

despite the aforesaid directions, the respondents have not complied with

the directions of this Court.

It is not disputed that the respondents have made the payment

of the reimbursed claim as claimed in CWP No. 18454 of 2008 as per

details in para No.5 of the contempt petition. The grouse of the petitioner

is that during the pendency of the writ petition, he had also submitted eight

more bills w.e.f. 22.12.2008 to 18.3.2009 for a total amount of

Rs.2,95,465.74 P, the payment of which has not been reimbursed to him till

today.

Notice of motion to the respondents.

Mr. Rajesh Garg, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, on the

asking of the Court, accepts notice and on instructions from Mr. Baljinder

Singh, Junior Assistant, Director Public Instructions (Schools) Punjab,

Chandigarh, states that the aforesaid bills though were not subject matter

of the writ petition but are being processed in accordance with law and the

payment against these bills shall be made within two months.

In view of the above, the present contempt petition stands

disposed of.
