Title: Reference regarding successful launching of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C9) by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on 28th April, 2008.
MR. SPEAKER: Hon. Members, the Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO, has once again achieved a remarkable success in placing in orbit a record number of ten satellites simultaneously, through its launch vehicle, PSLV-C9, this morning.
I had the privilege of watching this historic launch process, which is the first of its kind in the world, live, on the national broadcaster and the precision with which the mission was accomplished made me feel extremely proud of the achievement by our space scientists which will go down in the history of the Indian Space Research as a major milestone.
With one more feather in its cap, I am confident, the ISRO will soon emerge as one of the major players in the international commercial satellite launch market.
Hon. Members, I am sure all of you will join me in congratulating the Indian team of scientists, technologists and the staff of the ISRO who have made this mission a success.
