SPEAKER: I have to inform the House that I have received a letter dated 9th June, 2004 from Shri Lalu Prasad, an elected member from the Madhepura and the Chapra Parliamentary Constituencies of Bihar, resigning his seat in Lok Sabha from the Madhepura Parliamentary Constituency of Bihar. I have accepted his resignation from the Madhepura Parliamentary Constituency with effect from the 9th June, 2004.
