Petitioner has approached this Court complaining of
the illegal detention of her son Abhilash aged 28 years.
2. A statement is filed by the Government Pleader.
3. We heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and
also the learned Government Pleader. There is no dispute that the
petitioner’s son has been produced before the Magistrate on
29.12.2010. According to the learned Government Pleader he was
arrested on 28.12.2010. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits
that bail is being sought. In this circumstances we do not intend to
pursue further in this proceeding. We close the writ petition without
prejudice to the right of the petitioner to seek appropriate relief
against the police officers concerned before the Police Complaint
Authority or any other forum if the petitioner is so advised. We
make it clear that we have not expressed any view regarding the
merits of the matter.
