                                      ORDER

Petition for bail.

2. The alleged offences are under Sections 2(1), 2(16), 9,

31, 39, 40, 43, 50 and 51 of Wild Life Protection Act. According to

prosecution, a leopard was killed in Valpara Forest Division in Tamil

Nadu.

Petitioner is the 3rd accused. He was arrested on 21.8.2008

and he is in custody since then. Learned Public Prosecutor submitted

that the petitioner’s involvement was revealed with the arrest of the

first accused. It is also submitted that A1 and A3 were arrested in the

crime and involvement of other accused is suspected. The petitioner

belongs to Tamil Nadu and hence stringent conditions may be imposed

while granting bail.

Hence, bail is granted to the petitioner on the following terms

and conditions:

i) Petitioner shall execute a bond for Rs.50,000/- with two

solvent sureties each for the like sum to the satisfaction of

the learned Magistrate. The sureties shall be local sureties.

iii) Petitioner shall report before the Investigating Officer on

every Monday and Thursday between 10 A.M. and 1 P.M.

until further orders.

iv) Petitioner shall not leave the limits of the Forest range

within which crime is registered except with the prior

permission of the learned Magistrate concerned.

v) Petitioner shall not influence or intimidate any witness or

tamper with evidence and in case of breach of this

condition, bail is liable to be cancelled.

Petition is allowed.
