Dated this the 7th day of February, 2011

                             JUDGMENT

The petitioner is a former employee of the Kerala

State Road Transport Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the

`KSRTC’ for short). He retired from service on 31.3.2010. This

writ petition is filed seeking expeditious payment of terminal

benefits on the ground that the petitioner had to borrow funds in

connection with the marriage of his daughter that was solemnized

on 3.2.2011.

2. Sri.V.V.Nandagopal Nambiar, the learned standing

counsel appearing for the KSRTC, submits that if after enquiry the

Corporation is satisfied that the marriage of the petitioner’s

daughter was solemnized on 3.2.2011, the Corporation will take

steps to pay DCRG and commuted value of pension to the

petitioner overlooking priority and that terminal leave surrender

salary will also be paid expeditiously.

In such circumstances, I dispose of this writ petition

with a direction to the respondents to enquire into the

genuineness of the claim made by the petitioner for out of turn

payment of DCRG and commuted value of pension and to make such

payment along with the terminal leave surrender salary within one

month from the date of production of a copy of this judgment, if the

claim of the petitioner is found to be genuine.
