Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the
State.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner applied
for the fire arm licence on 23.12.2008 but the same is pending before the
respondent no.2.

No useful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending, which is
being finally disposed off with the direction to the respondent no.2. to
consider and decide the petitioner’s fire arm application dated 23.12.2008, if
not already decided, as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law
preferably within a period of four months from the date of production of a
certified copy of this order before him.
