Petitioner seeks compassionate appointment on the
allegation that his father expired during harness on
25.06.2005 while he was in the employment of U.P. State
Road Transport Corporation. Reference is made to a letter
dated 12.12.2006 whereunder the petitioner was asked to
inform his willingness to work as Driver in the Corporation.
In the facts and circumstances of the case, I am of the
considered opinion that the grievance of the writ petitioner
needs immediate attention of respondent no. 1 (Regional
Manager, U.P. State Road Transport Corporation, Bareilly
Region, Bareilly).
Accordingly the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty
to the petitioner to make a representation ventilating all his
grievances before respondent no. 1 within two weeks from
today, along a certified copy of this order. On such a
representation being made the respondent no. 1 shall call for
the records and shall pass a reasoned speaking order
preferably within eight weeks thereafter.
Counsel for the respondent Corporation is present.
