Facts

:­ 

1. The applicant submitted RTI application dated 20 
July   2010   before   the   CPIO,   State   Bank   of   India, 
Corporate   Centre,   Mumbai   which   was   received   on   5 
August 2010, seeking information pertaining to action 
taken on his complaint dated 12 June 2010, number of 
employees   of   SBI   posted   at   a   place   for   more   than 
stipulated   period,   transfer   policy   of   officers   and 
employees  of SBI etc –  enclosed herewith as Annexure 
A.

2. Point   wise   information   was   provided   vide   CPIO 
order   dated   4   September   2009.   Applicant   preferred 
appeal   dated   30   August   2010   before   the   first 
appellate  authority.   The matter  was  adjudicated  upon 
vide FAA order dated 30 September 2010.

3. Applicant   preferred   second   appeal   before   the 
Commission.   Matter   was   heard   today   through 
videoconferencing.   Respondent   was   present   as   above 
and   heard   from   Mumbai.   Appellant   was   represented   as 
above and presented arguments from Etawah. Respondent

stated   that   information   sought   was   very   vast   as   the 
SBI   had   lakhs   of   employees.   Appellant   agreed   to 
confine his request to cover the Kanpur region only.

Decision notice

4. After   hearing   both   parties,   Commission   directs 
respondent   to   provide   information   in   respect   of 
Kanpur   region   only   against   information   sought   under 
point 1 (lll) of the RTI application and also furnish 
a   copy   of   the   transfer   policy   for   officers   and 
employees of the State Bank of India to the Appellant 
within four weeks of receipt of the order.
