1. Both the parties were heard on 11/7/2008.

2. The CPIO stated that the information asked for have been furnished as
per the available records. There is, however, no denial of information. The
appellant pointed out the deficiencies in maintenance of records and information.
And, accordingly, he has provided valuable suggestions for improvement in the
services offered by the respondent.

Decision:

3. The CPIO has furnished the information asked for on the basis of
available records. There is, however, considerable scope for improvement in the
maintenance of records for the benefit of the people who use the services of the
respondent. In this context, the appellant has provided useful suggestions, which
should be considered for improvement in the management of information.

4. With these observations, the appeal is disposed of.
