Facts

:

1. Both the parties were heard on 29/8/2008.

2. The details of information asked for and the replies given by the CPIO and
the Appellate Authority were discussed. The CPIO stated that a large part of the
information asked for was in the form of interrogation seeking opinion of the
CPIO, which could not be, therefore, replied. The remaining information was,
however, given.

3. The appellant pleaded that he has falsely been implicated in a case and,
therefore, he has asked for the following specific information to prove his
innocence:

(i) Letter issued by the respondent dated 25/10/2001;

(ii) Proof of appellant’s attendance in the Court on 19/2/2002; and

(iii) A copy of appeal submitted to the Consumer Forum

Decision:

4. The appellant’s plea for information is accepted. The CPIO is directed to
provide the specific information, as mentioned under para-3 above, within 15
working days from the date of issue of this decision.
