Shilpa Gautam and Diamond Kumar-petitioners have filed
this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for
issuance of directions to official respondents to protect their life and
liberty from the hands of respondent No.4.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that
the marriage of the petitioners was solemnized on 20.2.2008.
Certificate (Annexure P-3) in this regard has been issued by Arya
Samaj Mandir, Arya Samaj Chowk, Patiala. He has further submitted
that the petitioners have moved a representation to Senior
Crl.Misc.No.M- 12294 of 2009 (O&M) -2-
Superintendent of Police, Sangrur ( Annexure P-5) but no action has
been taken so far.
Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits
of the case, Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur-respondent
No.2 is directed to look into the representation made by the
petitioners (Annexure P-5) and if required, necessary protection be
provided to them.
Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
