Background
1. The Applicant filed his RTI request on31.08.09 with the PIO, North Railway,
Moradabad requesting for information related to the quarters available for under
jurisdiction Station Superintendent, Moradabad, North Railway against 6 points. The
PIO replied on 23.099.09 providing information against 5 points. Not satisfied with the
reply, the Applicant filed his First appeal on 01.10.09 requesting for complete
information. On not receiving any reply from the Appellate Authority the Applicant
then filed his Second appeal before the Commission seeking complete information.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, heard the matter for
January 15, 2010.
3. The Appellant was heard through audio Conference.
4. Mr. Goivind Prasad, PIO & Sr. DMM, Mr. Mohar Singh Mea and Mr. Ram Singh.
Decision
5. The Respondent informed the Commission that while replying to the RTI application,
inadvertently the PIO replied to only 5 out of the 6 points and when he realized this
lapse on receipt of the hearing notice from the Commission, he furnished the missing
information about Mr. Sumit Saxena against point 5 on 12.1.10. The Appellant,
however, was still not satisfied and sought the correct date of allotment of quarters
to Mr. Saxena against point 5 of the RTI application. The information accordingly may
be provided to the Appellant by 10 February, 2010.
6. The appeal is disposed of.
