Facts

:

1. Both the parties were heard on 21/5/2009.

2. The appellant has asked for certain information relating to the selection of
candidate for specific post.

3. The CPIO has duly replied and furnished the information, except the
educational qualifications certificate namely degrees and diplomas, submitted by
the selected candidates. The information has been refused to the appellant u/s
8(1)(j) of the Act.

4. During the hearing, the appellant could not indicate as to what is the public
interest in disclosure of the certificates submitted by about 300 candidates.

Decision:

5. The CPIO has furnished the requested information, except the documents
relating to educational qualifications, which has been correctly refused u/s 8(1)(j)
of the Act.
