Facts
:
1. The appellant has alleged that the desired information has not been
furnished to him. He has therefore submitted his complaint before the
Commission and pleaded for providing complete information.
2. On perusal of the documents submitted by the appellant, it is observed
that the requested information is not specified and the appellant has elicited
views and opinion of the CPIO through various forms of queries.
Decision:
3. An information seeker is expected to ask for information as per section 2
(f) & (j) of the Act. The appellant is accordingly advised to resubmit a copy of his
RTI application to the concerned Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), the
custodian of information, for his read reference.
4. The CPIO is directed furnish the information asked for within 15 days from
the date of issue of this decision, failing which penalty proceedings u/s 20 (1) of
the Act would be initiated. The appellant would be free to approach the
Commission again if any specific information is refused to him.
5. The appeal is thus disposed of.
