Decision: i
1. The Appellant has submitted two separate appeals, which were examined
together in a hearing of both parties held on 21/7/2010.
2. In the course of hearing, the details of information asked for and the
responses of the CPIO and the Appellate Authority were discussed. It was finally
agreed that the appellant would submit a fresh application for information in
which he would clearly specify the desired information. And the CPIO would
suitably respond and furnish the information, on the basis of available records,
within one month from the date of receipt of application for information from the
appellant. While the CPIO may invoke section 8(1) and 10(1) of the Act for
denial of any information, the appellant would be free to approach the
Commission again, in case, he is not satisfied with the reply of the respondents.
3. The appellant would also be free to seek inspection of the relevant records
as per section 2(j) of the Act, so as to satisfy himself with the availability of the
required information.

4. With these observations, both the appeals are disposed of.
