Facts
:
1. Both the parties were heard on 5/10/2009.
2. The appellant had asked for details of communication address of an
official, which was duly furnished. The appellant alleged that the information was
not furnished to him within the stipulated period of 30 days.
3. The CPIO, however, refuted the allegations made by the appellant and
said that the information was furnished on March 26, 2009 in response to the RTI
application, which was received on March 3, 2009. Thus the information was
furnished within 30 days.
Decision:
4. The CPIO has furnished complete information and that the reply was
given within 30 days from the date of receipt of the application. The appellant
counted the days for seeking information from the date of application without
counting for the delays in transmission of application by the concerned

department. The complainant’s allegation is baseless. This complaint is
considered unnecessary misuse of RTI.
5. The complaint is thus disposed of.
