FACTS
:
Vide RTI application dated 24.12.2008, the complainant had sougth the
following information :-
“(i) whether lease-deed by Delhi Improvement Trust dated 20.7.1924 in
favour of my grand father namely Shir Mangat Ram S/o Shir Sukh Ram
in respect to Plot No. 502, Khasara No 825 area 342 Sq Yards, Jangpura,
New Delhi which was renued on 8.11.1949 was further renewed or not?
(ii) If renewed after 8.11.1949 in whose favour lease deed was executed and
registered?”
2. Dy Director (OSB), DDA vide letters dated 2.2.2009 and 20.5.2009 had
informed the complainant that record pertaining to the aforesaid plot was not
traceable.
3. Dissatisfied with this, the complainant has filed the present complaint
before this Commission.
4. The matter is called for hearing today. Complainant is present. The
Public Authority is represented by the officers named above. During the hearing,
it is noticed that the Commission mistakenly has issued notice to Dy Director
(LM) (SEZ); whereas the concerned PIO is Dy Director (OSB). Shri Suman
submits that he has forwarded the Commission’s notice to Shri R.P. Garg, Dy
Director (OSB) but he has not appeared before the Commission. Hence, notice
may be issued to Shri R.P. Garg, Dy Director (OSB) to appear before the
Commission on 19.3.2010 at 1110 hrs. He is also directed to send his written
reply to the Commission with a copy thereof to the complainant two days before
the date of hearing.
