The sole relief pressed for by learned counsel for the petitioner in
both the petitions is that the elections of the Committee of
Management of the Shri Ganga Ram Dharmarth Trust Shiksha
Samiti Bhagirathi Devi Mahavidyalaya Mandi Dhanuara should be
conducted very expeditiously pursuant to the directions issued by
the Registrar of the Mahatama Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand
University, Bareilly (hereinafter referred to as the ‘University’) on
25th August, 2009
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Vivek
Varma, learned counsel appearing for the University.
A perusal of the order dated 25th August, 2009 issued by the
Registrar of the University indicates that the Vice Chancellor of
the University has constituted a Committee of three members to
hold the elections of the Committee of Management of the
aforesaid Society.
The grievance raised in both these petitions is that despite the
aforesaid directions issued by the Vice Chancellor of the
University, the elections have not been held.
These petitions are, therefore, disposed of with a direction that the
three member Committee constituted by the Vice Chancellor of the
University, as notified by the Registrar of the University by the
order dated 25th August, 2009, shall make all endeavours to hold
the elections of the Committee of Management of the Society as
expeditiously as is possible and in all circumstances conclude the
proceedings within six weeks from the date a certified copy of this
order is placed before the Registrar of the University who shall
communicate it to the said Committee.
