By his letter of 9.4.2009, the appellant had sought information from Deputy
Director(NL)-I(Land) on the following three paras :-
“1. Kindly furnish the certified photocopy of rehabilitation policy 1961 amended
up to date.
2. What is the procedure for allotment of alternative land/plot/shed & to
whom the application of the effected person is to be submitted ?
3. Please find enclosed photocopy of minutes of meeting dt. 11.04.07 issued
by Land and Building Department, Govt. of NCT Delhi in which
Commissioner(LM), Director(LM) HQ, dy. Director(NL) etc. of DDA were
present. Is it correct if once the DDA issues NOC and land is acquired by the
other departments/agency for plan development of Delhi it becomes the
responsibility of the DDA to rehabilitate the affected persons as recorded in the
minutes of meeting dt. 11.04.07 just below the list of participant in the meeting.”
2. Deputy Director(NL)-1 had forwarded the application to Commissioner(LD) for
appropriate action. However, the appellant did not receive any information from
Commissioner(LD) and, therefore, has filed the present appeal.
3. Heard on 15.01.2010. Appellant present. Nobody has appeared for DDA. This is
viewed adversely. During the hearing, the appellant does not press for information in
respect of paras 1 & 2 but insists on information on para 3 above.
DECISION
4. In view of the above, Shri Yashpal Garg, Director(CL) is hereby directed to
provide requisite information to the appellant in 04 weeks time.
5. A copy of the minutes of the meeting held on 11.4.2007 under the chairmanship
of Principal Secretary(L&B) of the Government of NCT of Delhi, may be enclosed for
ready reference.
