FACTS
:-
By his letter dated 30/03/2007, the complainant had requested the Public
Authority to furnish the following information:-
“Copies of all file notings, memos, opinions, advices, minutes of
meetings, observations, reports, documents etc. along with all the names and
designation of the officers concerned.”
2. However, neither the subject matter of the material required nor any time-frame
for which information has been sought, has been mentioned in the complaint.
3. The matter was heard on 21/11/2008. The Appellant appeared in person. The
Public Authority is represented by Shri Vijay Tehlan, Deputy L&DO. During the
hearing, the complainant submits that the information sought by him is in regard to the
violations alleged to have been committed by the Delhi Gimkhana Club by way of
unauthorized construction, misuse of premises and the action taken by L&DO in this
regard. He also submits that he is interested in the action taken by L&DO in this regard
so that the Club does not suffer, as the Club had to pay huge penalty in the past. He also
submits that he requires this information from the year 2004 onwards.
4. In view of the clarification given by the complainant, Shri Tehlan was asked to
make his submissions in regard to the action taken by L&DO in respect of the application
of Shri Tripathi. Shri Vijay Tehlan would submit that earlier the matter was dealt with by
his predecessor and that he would need some time to formulate a cogent response in this
regard.
INTERIM ORDER
5. In view of the submissions of Shri Tehlan, the matter is adjourned to 08/01/2009
at 15.00 hrs. Shri Tehlan is directed to file a written response in this regard and also
appear in person on the aforesaid date of hearing.
