Facts
:
1. The appellant has asked for personal information of a third party, which is
identified in his RTI application. The CPIO has refused to furnish the information
after obtaining concurrence of the concerned person u/s 11(1) of the Act. Being
not satisfied with the response, the appellant has pleaded for providing the
desired information.
Decision:
2. The appellant has asked for personal details of a third party which has no
relationship to any public activity. The CPIO has correctly refused to provide the
information on the ground that the concerned person has not given his
concurrence for disclosure of personal details. In view of the fact that the
appellant has not indicated as to what is the public interest in seeking personal
information, this appeal is considered unnecessary and is thus disposed of.
