FACTS

By his letter of 08/03/2007, the complainant had requested for information on 50
points relating to his deposits in Chandigarh Urban Cooperative Bank (now under
liquidation) and the maters related therewith. CPIO, vide his letter dated 04/04/2007, had
requested the complainant to deposit a fee of Rs.130/- for obtaining copies of the relevant
documents. This was reiterated by the CPIO vide letters dated 14/05/2007 and
24/05/2007.

2. Be it as it may, he has filed the present complaint before the Commission.

3. The matter was heard on 25/11/2008. The complainant did not appear before the
Commission. The Public Authority is represented by Shri R.S. Sangwan, Assistant
Registrar (CPIO). Shri R.S. Sangwan would submit that he is prepared to give copies of
the relevant documents available with him if the complainant deposits a fee of Rs.130/-
which he has not deposited despite repeated reminders having been issued to him.

DECISION

4. In view of the above, the complaint has no merit and is ordered to be closed.
