Facts
:
1. The appeal was scheduled for hearing on 2/3/2009. But, the appellant did
not avail of this opportunity.
2. On the basis of the documents submitted by the appellant, it is observed
that he has asked for information relating to selection proceedings conducted by
the Public Enterprises Selection Board. The respondent has already furnished
the minutes of the Selection Committee. However, a part of the information
relating to personal and official details of other candidates have been refused u/s
8(1)(j) of the Act.
3. In his appeal before the Commission, the appellant has pleaded for
providing complete information.
Decision:
4. The CPIO has furnished the minutes of the Selection Committee. He has,
however, refused to provide information relating to the personal and official
details of other candidates, who were considered for appointment by the
Selection Board.

5. As the appellant has not responded to the notice for hearing nor he has
indicated as to what is the public interest in seeking the disclosure of information
that has been refused to him, this appeal was unnecessary and is accordingly
disposed of.
