Facts
:-
The matter, in short, is that vide his RTI application dated 3.4.2009, the
appellant had requested CPIO in the office of Defence Estates Officer, Pune, to
provide him a copy of the sanctioned map of GLR S. No.18B, No.20, II Lines,
Sarojini Colony, Ahmed Nagar. Shri R.C. Thakur, CPIO in the office of DEO, Pune,
vide letter dated 20.4.2009 had requested CPIO of Ahmed Nagar Cantonment Board
for necessary action in the matter. However, Defence Estates Officer, Ahmed Nagar,
vide letter dated 13.5.2009 informed DEO, Pune, that the requisite documents were
not available in his office. The net result is that requested documents have not been
provided to the appellant so far.
2. The appellant has filed the present appeal in this connection.
3. The matter is called for hearing today dated 24.02.2010. Even though,
notices were issued to the CPIOs of DEOs, Pune and Ahmed Nagar, they have not
appeared before the Commission. However, fax message dated 24th February has
been received from CPIO of DEO, Pune to say that requested information has
already been provided to the appellant. The request of the appellant for withdrawal
of the appeal has also been faxed to the Commission.
DECISION
4. In view of the above, the appeal has become infructuous and is dismissed.
