The Complainant is not present, in spite of notice.

On behalf of the Respondent, Shri Ajoy Sen Chakma, Law Officer is present.

The brief facts of the case are as under.

2. The Complainant had applied on 27 March 2008 for a number of information on
the action taken on his representations copies of which he had enclosed with his
application. On not receiving any response from the CPIO, he sent this complain to the
CIC on 9 May 2008.

3. During the hearing, the Complainant was not present. The Respondent was
present and produced a copy of a letter from the Complainant addressed to the CIC
dated 25 May 2009 in which the Complainant has stated that he has in the meanwhile
received the information sought and would not like to pursue with the complaint. In
view of this, while we would like to close this case, we would still like to warn the
CPIO to be careful in future in dealing with applications for information and to provide
information within the stipulated period.

4. With the above observations, the complaint case is being closed as withdrawn.

5. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
